About

Michael DeVinney is an economics and private property expert.   He has worked as a firearms demonstrator—firing the famous Tommy Gun on full-auto—and an analyst.  On August 11, 2014, Michael suffered a stroke.  While most strokes are due to bad health conditions, his was due to an arterial dissection.  This was further complicated by hydrocephalus which resulted in a craniotomy (brain surgery), his first of two.  He was unable to walk, speak, and much more.  As time has gone by, he has gotten much better, but still faces many issues, including the issues from the second craniotomy.  One of the difficulties directly related to writing, he can only type slowly for short periods, approximately a few hundred words at a time.

Through his extensive study of philosophy and economics, he wished there was a book that put it all together, Pure Political Philosophy: Natural Law and Sulaocracy was the result.  Sulaocracy was coined by Michael and is defined as: (Greek: from sulao 'plunder' and kratos 'rule') is a form of government in which the state receives funds by expropriation.  He loves reading, working out, playing golf, going to sporting events, and most of all, his family.  He currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.

He was most influenced by: Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Hans-Hermann Hoppe, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Thomas Sowell
