The Cult of Equality

Equality has become the new golden calf.  People bow to it.  They chant its name.  They see it as salvation.  Like all false gods, it demands sacrifice—and what it asks for is freedom, excellence, and truth.

This isn’t about equal treatment under the law.  That’s long gone.  This is about enforced sameness.  It’s about pulling everyone to the lowest common denominator.  It’s about resentment disguised as virtue.  The new religion doesn’t raise people up—it drags them down.

Equality of outcome is a fantasy.  People are different.  They think differently.  They act differently.  They value different things.  No planner, no politician, no academic can change that.  Yet they keep trying.  They pass laws, manipulate incentives, punish success, and reward failure.  All in the name of equality.

The irony?  It’s not even about equality.  It’s about control.  The priesthood of this new faith—bureaucrats, technocrats, talking heads—don’t believe in equality.  They believe in power.  They use the language of fairness to justify every intrusion, every regulation, every theft.  They speak of justice, but they’re building a cage.

This new god is jealous.  It can’t tolerate excellence.  It punishes merit.  It despises individuality.  It recoils at the idea that people might choose their own path and deal with the consequences.  That’s too messy.  Too human.  It must be managed, leveled, and filed down to fit the doctrine.

All gods have temples.  This one has schools and media.  It has DEI offices and HR departments.  It’s not content with your words—it wants your thoughts.  Dissent is heresy.  Silence is complicity.  Your job is not to live well, but to repeat the slogans.

Man isn’t equal.  Not in strength, not in ability, not in ambition, not in desire.  That’s not a flaw.  That’s the beauty of life.  Each person is a unique, unrepeatable flash of potential.  Flattening them under the steamroller of equality is a tragedy.

You can’t build greatness on resentment.  You can’t lift people up by cutting others down.  You can’t enforce sameness without killing the spirit.  The cult of equality isn’t about justice.  It’s about submission.

It’s time to walk away.
