Freedom in an Unfree World

Freedom

Every individual is free to direct their body how they see fit.  However, they’re not free to direct their body if it uninvitedly interferes with another.  This forcibly retains others from using their body how they see fit.  To do so, would be to initiate violence.  This must be adhered to.  Society can’t last where violence is tolerated.  Worse, it’s accepted when carried out by certain groups.  The body’s owner is responsible for all actions.

To live in a society of pure liberty is not to live in an absence of law.  On the contrary, everyone is subject to the same law.  This includes the highest and the lowest.  No one is above or below the law.  We are all treated as equals.  People will make mistakes under certain conditions.  They are not made better by taking away their freedom.  Individuals can only learn if they are free.  Responsibility is a valuable teaching lesson.

People shouldn’t be separated by private and public law.  Yet, they are.  Public officials can legally do things no private individual could ever get away with.  The masses have given control of their freedoms to people who value abusing it.  It doesn’t matter if their half-baked ideas are good or not.  They have no stake on if it’s correct or not.  They will torment you endlessly—for your own good.

Even if you truly believe placing them below the law will make them better or wiser, you have no right to do so.  What makes you think you’re different?   You’re a human just like them.  This judgement is clouded by conceit and arrogance.  There is nothing in man that gives you this power over another.  This creates a situation where one group is subject to another group.  The political class has power over the masses.

A large portion of the state are in bondage.  Chattel slavery doesn’t differ in kind, only in degree of what we are faced with now.  Many sanction the right of few to own many.  Open your eyes if you really think you can vote out of this mess.  If voting changed anything the state wouldn’t be so eager to promote it, or even expand it.  The polls are where the sheep go to select a new shepherd that’ll lead them to the slaughterhouse.
