Most people confuse the propaganda that’s forced down their throats with self-knowledge. The entire system of propaganda is based on statistics. This is falsified before it’s uttered. Believing this turns the masses into an impotent homogeneous blob. Everything is setup for the rise of a dominating state. Knowledge of yourself must come from within. This doesn’t come from statistical averages or what you’re told.
As Carl Jung said, “The moral responsibly of the individual is then inevitably replaced by the policy of the state…The goal and meaning of life (which is the only real life) no longer lie in individual development but in the policy of the state, which is thrust upon the individual from outside and consists in the execution of an abstract idea which ultimately tends to attract all life to itself.” The masses have become mouthpieces for the state.
It’s clear the individual has a spiritual problem. The state is viewed as the new idol to be worshipped. The domestication process certainly assists this. This causes the individual to become unstable and suggestible. They have become slaves to their own fictions. The weak individual looks for a leader to idolize. They’re fallible like all else. Not only has history proven this, but it has confirmed they’re awful.
The development of science has led to massive confusion about science. It can be used on certain objects. It can’t be used on thinking and acting individuals—not to be misunderstood. Few may admit this, but they believe it can. The crowd becomes large enough and this is considered good science. Science has progressed because people question it. Many times, those questions come from a minority, or even a single individual.
The world has a serious spiritual problem. Your idol has switched to someone in the political class. These totalitarian political movements cut the ground from all religions. Don’t assume yours is immune. Statism is a form of religion. You aren’t idolizing who they want. This must be addressed before a serious case of neurosis develops. If you think differently, you’re a heretic and blasphemer.
