The saying goes: misery loves company.  Under a large state, it’s more appropriate to say: envy loves company.  Regardless of how absurd the idea is, it will have its supporters.  The envy permeates through society.  It results in tyranny, perpetual war, and all sorts of aggressions.  Collective envy doesn’t confine itself to one aggression.  The goal is to spread envy to as many people as possible to gain support for aggression.

There are many absurd ideas that float around today.  If the social unit is very small, these absurd ideas can be tried.  Other small social units can see if it works.  Millions of people don’t have to agree on an idea.  Just take a quick look through history.  The various evil ideas would have caused much less damage if the social unit was smaller.  They could only get away with these ideas because they had the force of the majority behind them.

There is no need to force your ideas on others.  The population must be lied to constantly to support aggression.  The aggression will be disguised as doing something nice.  A small social unit may support aggression, but millions of other people shouldn’t be forced to.  These aggressive policies will lead to the decay of society.  If one society wants to voluntarily decay, others don’t have to follow along.

Many of us have heard the saying: if your friends jumped off a bridge, would you do it to?  The individual doesn’t have to follow if he knows it’s wrong.  There would never be any progress if the majority was always followed.  Someone must come up with a new and better idea.  That individual is in the minority.  Just because the majority of society is jumping off a bridge, it doesn’t mean the rest of us must follow.

The way envy is spread is through democracy.  Many through history were aware of the dangers of democracy.  Even the exception—Rousseau—knew it couldn’t work under a large social unit.  Anytime “democracy” is invoked, it’s a good indicator that they know little about history.  Democracy and a large social unit are pure barbarism.  It has never been a good idea and never will be.  “Variety is life, uniformity is death.”
